Job Overview This part-time Customer Service Agent position is primarily responsible for answering patient inquiries with exceptional customer service, while maintaining positive patient relations. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear and concise information, and ensuring their needs are met Learn and understand ETM software operation, billing and account operations, and other relevant systems and processes Answer and document all telephone inquiries, researching and resolving problems with patients' bills, and updating patients' insurance coverage as needed Print courtesy claims and itemized statements, rebill accounts after receiving insurance information, and arrange financial agreements with patients using budget plan as needed Perform other duties and assignments as requested, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization Essential Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Strong communication skills (oral and written) required, with the ability to speak, listen, and type simultaneously Understanding and familiarity with Microsoft Windows environment, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple responsibilities Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds Preferred Qualifications and Experience While not essential, the following preferred qualifications and experience will be highly regarded: Previous experience in customer service, retail, or restaurant service, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service Experience working in a remote or call center environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of medical billing and insurance operations, with the ability to learn and understand complex systems and processes Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and think critically Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple responsibilities Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At TeamHealth National Patient Service Center, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
