Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every guest has a positive take-out or delivery experience. Your primary responsibilities will include answering incoming telephone calls, taking orders over the phone, and directing calls to the appropriate personnel. You will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, and your friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor will set the tone for their entire experience with blithequark. Key Responsibilities Answer all telephone calls immediately using the proper greeting, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued. Assist customers verbally in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner, using the 10 Steps to Efficient Phone Service to ensure consistent customer satisfaction. Clearly write down any customer orders using the proper notation and the appropriate order form, requesting all pertinent information to ensure accuracy and completeness. Enter all take-out and delivery orders into the POS system accurately and completely, ensuring that every order is fulfilled correctly and efficiently. Prepare any pizza boxes necessary for all take-out and delivery orders, presenting them in a clean and appealing manner that reflects the blithequark brand. Demonstrate knowledge of the Swirl Rewards program, signing up guests and promoting the benefits of our loyalty program. Maintain a clean, stocked, and sanitized take-out and/or delivery area, adhering to proper safe food handling, safety, and sanitation standards at all times. Assist in the training of new employees, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them succeed in their roles. Provide support services to co-workers as the flow of business dictates, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager, including store-specific opening, closing, and side work procedures. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will need to possess certain skills, abilities, and qualifications. These include: Essential Qualifications Some secondary education, providing a foundation for further learning and development. Entry-level experience, with a willingness to learn and grow with the company. A minimum age of 16 years, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak English fluently and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues. Ability to remain calm under pressure and perform in a stressful environment, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to accurately, quickly, and simultaneously perform multiple tasks. Basic computer operating skills, with the ability to use a standard business telephone in a professional manner. Ability to quickly and accurately count money and give correct change, with strong math and excellent money handling skills. Stamina to stand up to 5 hours at a time, with the ability to lift, bend, and stoop, and strength to frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs. Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, with basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation issues. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction. Knowledge of the blithequark menu, policies, preparation, and presentation standards, with the ability to promote our products and services to guests. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible schedule and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
