We're committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and continuous learning, where our employees can grow and thrive in a dynamic and supportive environment. **Key Responsibilities:** As a remote customer service representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * Responding to incoming borrower calls, chats, and making outbound calls in a friendly and professional manner * Counseling and informing borrowers of their repayment options, deferments, and forbearance eligibility * Taking loan payments and updating borrower accounts in an efficient manner * Locating needed information and minimizing the time borrowers are put on hold * Maintaining the security and privacy of the borrower to protect both the borrower and our partners * Working an 8-hour shift with a one 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks * Utilizing strong computer skills to navigate our systems and software **Essential Qualifications:** To succeed in this role, you will need: * A high school diploma or equivalent, with some college or bachelor's degree preferred * The ability to pass a pre-employment cognitive and personality assessment * A Federal 5C Security Clearance and credit check * Residency in or near the Dallas-Fort Worth area * Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills * Ability to multitask (type while talking) * Access to home internet with at least 10 mg capacity and a router for an Ethernet cord * A quiet and distraction-free location in your home for work **Preferred Qualifications:** While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center or remote setting * Familiarity with federal student loan programs and repayment options * Experience with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and software * Certification in customer service or a related field **Skills and Competencies:** To excel in this role, you will need to possess: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills and careers.
