About the Role: Payments and Digital Strategy Crew This role is a key member of the Payments and Digital Strategy crew within the blithequark Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to payment processing, customer inquiries, and financial transactions. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and effective solutions to their concerns. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations. Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions, resolving issues promptly. Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing, demonstrating a collaborative approach. Work on assigned member cases/issues, providing timely and effective solutions. Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws. Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other transactions, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff transactions. Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products, exercising sound judgment. Log, study, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns, maintaining accurate records. Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring timely and efficient processing. Complete daily balancing and department closing, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills. Obtain information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests. Research and verify incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, demonstrating effective communication skills. Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, staying up-to-date with regulatory requirements. Requirements for Success Minimum Qualifications High school degree or GED, providing a foundation for further development. Intermediate Excel and Word experience, demonstrating basic computer skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous customer/member service experience, showcasing excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous banking or Credit Union experience, providing a understanding of financial transactions and regulations. Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, demonstrating technical skills. Essential Skills, Licenses, and Certifications Proficient in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), gained through work experience or training. Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs, demonstrating flexibility and commitment. Excellent customer service skills, providing timely and effective solutions to customer concerns. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and functioning as an integral part of a team. Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data, demonstrating analytical skills. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure, showcasing organizational and time management skills. Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn. Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and members, showcasing excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
