About the Role: Customer Service Representative In this exciting role, you'll be the face of blithequark, communicating with customers via telephone and assisting with hotel, rental car, and flight reservations. Our customers typically reach out to change travel plans, confirm or obtain their itinerary, request refunds, or report travel issues. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch support, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive, helpful, and resolves their concerns efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Answer incoming calls from customers and provide personalized support Review customer history as necessary to understand their needs and preferences Follow policy and procedure guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in every interaction Help customers change travel plans, provide or confirm their travel itinerary, and process refunds as needed Place outbound calls to travel partners (hotels, rental car agencies, etc.) to resolve customer issues or confirm arrangements Document information and outcomes as necessary to maintain accurate records and improve our services Flexible Scheduling and Remote Work Arrangements We understand that work-life balance is essential, which is why we offer flexible scheduling and remote work arrangements. You'll have the freedom to select your work hours using our self-scheduling platform, allowing you to balance your personal and professional responsibilities with ease. Our hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM ET, seven days per week, giving you the flexibility to choose when you work and when you don't. About You: Essential Qualifications and Characteristics To succeed as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll need: Prior customer service experience, preferably in the travel industry or a related field Strong geographical knowledge and familiarity with travel products and services Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and effective communication Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Strong typing skills and proficiency in using the internet and navigating multiple applications Technical Requirements: To perform this role, you'll need a computer and equipment meeting the following minimum specifications: High-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or satellite) Windows 10 operating system Intel Core i5 processor, 1.5 GHz and above 8GB of RAM 256GB hard drive Internet Explorer 11 and the latest version of Google Chrome Dual monitors, each capable of displaying at least 1920 x 1080 pixels Sound card (standard on most computers) Up-to-date anti-virus software USB noise-canceling headset Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills.
