Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Representative, Shipping Clerk, and Packer at arenaflex, your primary focus will be on accepting and processing deliveries, verifying the accuracy of items received, and preparing packages for shipping. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Receiving shipments and signing paperwork upon receipt, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete. Packing or unpacking a wide variety of items into or from cartons, boxes, or similar containers, taking care to prevent damage and ensure efficient storage. Inspecting contents to ensure they are undamaged and match the order and invoices in terms of quantity, quality, and price. Contacting your supervisor if any discrepancies or mistakes are identified, to resolve issues promptly and maintain high service standards. Labeling deliveries and allocating them to their designated places, maintaining a well-organized and efficient workspace. Ensuring invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. Picking up parcels from local stores as required, and preparing packages for shipping, including processing all company shipments with required paperwork and shipping labels. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you will need: A working knowledge of computer programs for entering data, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly. A solid understanding of health and safety regulations, to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all relevant standards. Basic math and recording abilities, with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Great communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work well independently and as part of a team, providing exceptional customer service and support. A keen eye for detail, with the ability to inspect and verify items accurately, and identify any discrepancies or issues promptly. A high school diploma, with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable: Professional interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in customer-facing roles and conflict resolution. Proficiency in using office automation systems, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and technologies quickly. Proficiency in writing and preparing memorandums and project papers, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Postal Service requirements and codes, with experience in shipping and logistics operations.
