This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of blithequark at DFW International Airport. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner * Operate and assist walk-in customers, answering questions and providing information about lost items * Answer phones during business hours, responding to calls and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner * Input required information into the Lost and Found system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail * Research and verify the validity of all information before releasing lost items to customers * Collect lost items from terminals and various areas of the airport grounds, photographing and logging items as necessary * Receive, count, document, and secure items in a lockable container, such as a safe * Move goods and materials in and out of secured lockers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail * Learn and utilize Lost and Found Software, staying up-to-date with system updates and changes * Work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required * Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks * Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, colleagues, and management * Solve daily problems and make quick decisions within the operation, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness * Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 70 lbs., as necessary * Stand and walk for long periods, as required * Drive and operate a vehicle, as necessary **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred * 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups * Ability to work in a team environment, demonstrating a positive and supportive attitude * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines * Ability to learn and utilize Lost and Found Software, staying up-to-date with system updates and changes * Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 70 lbs., as necessary * Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as required * Valid driver's license and ability to drive and operate a vehicle, as necessary **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a Lost and Found Department or similar environment * Knowledge of Lost and Found Software and systems * Certification in customer service or a related field * Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines * Ability to learn and utilize Lost and Found Software, staying up-to-date with system updates and changes * Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 70 lbs., as necessary * Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as required * Valid driver's license and ability to drive and operate a vehicle, as necessary * Ability to work in a team environment, demonstrating a positive and supportive attitude * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we believe in investing in our people and providing opportunities for growth and development.
