**Experienced Customer Service Specialist – Career Development and Workforce Support**

Our team of dedicated professionals is passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of our customers, and we're seeking like-minded individuals to join our mission. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for: * Interviewing customers and conducting initial assessments to understand their needs and provide personalized services or referrals as appropriate * Evaluating education, training, and experience to properly register applicants in the appropriate database * Providing instructions and assistance to customers utilizing the Employ Florida system, Florida's RECONNECT system for Reemployment Assistance (RA) claimants, and other computer data and programs * Screening and referring qualified applicants to available job openings and/or training opportunities, performing job development contacts, providing labor market information, and offering employment counseling as needed * Providing follow-up services to claimants enrolled in the Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program * Referring eligible individuals to appropriate staff for comprehensive assessment, as needed * Processing job orders using information obtained from employers to compile job descriptions, accurately code each occupation and industry, and perform file search of job orders for qualified applicants adhering to veterans' preference and mandated Federal Contractor requirements * Monitoring job orders, maintaining timely contact with employers to perform follow-up and verify referral results with employers to document in job orders * Ensuring that data is entered in Employ Florida timely as required by state and local guidelines * Providing RESEA services on a scheduled basis, including entering data into the Employ Florida system as required by State and local guidelines * Making initial contact with eligible trade-affected individuals whose employment has been threatened and who have been temporarily or permanently laid off * Reviewing applications, collecting appropriate documentation needed to verify data elements, and conducting initial assessments of the worker's eligibility for services by reviewing work experience, education, and abilities * Refering eligible individuals to appropriate staff for comprehensive assessment and assisting staff in pulling together information needed to conduct a TAA Information Meeting for trade-affected workers who are covered under a certified petition **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required;
