As a Customer Support Associate, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's passionate about making a difference in the lives of our patients. **Job Summary** As a Customer Support Associate in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll play a critical role in providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and revivifying benefits, translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy * Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including: + Verifying and revivifying benefits + Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system + Communicating and collecting copay amounts + Obtaining authorizations + Working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues * Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners to ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner and to ensure that financial and clinical expectations are being met prior to fulfillment * Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and ensure seamless patient care * Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, regulatory requirements, and industry developments to provide accurate and informed support to patients and internal partners **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred * 1-2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and make informed decisions * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite * Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting * Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication ordering and processing * Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and pharmacy information systems * Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR)) * Bilingual or multilingual skills (English and Spanish or other languages) **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
