As a Customer Team Member, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, working collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver a great shopping experience, and contributing to the overall success of our store. If you have a genuine care for the needs of customers and members, great people skills, and a positive approach to change and problem-solving, we want to hear from you. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Team Member, you'll be responsible for: * Providing friendly and thoughtful service to our customers, responding to their queries, and championing Co-op products and Membership * Working collaboratively with your colleagues to solve problems for customers and members, and making sure the store is safe and legal * Helping to introduce new products and services, and making changes feel natural by sharing experiences with your colleagues * Supporting your local community by getting involved in all kinds of activities and events * Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages **Essential Qualifications** To be successful as a Customer Team Member, you'll need: * A genuine care for the needs of customers and members * Great people skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues * A positive approach to change and problem-solving * The flexibility to work a range of different shifts, including night shifts **Preferred Qualifications** While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial: * Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role * Knowledge of Co-op products and services * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a till **Skills and Competencies** To succeed as a Customer Team Member, you'll need: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively * Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a till * Ability to lift and move stock, and stand for long periods of time * Basic computer skills and ability to use a till and other retail systems **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Customer Team Member, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, and progress to more senior roles within the company.
