Experienced Customer Technical Service Representative for Pet Food Division – Remote Technical Support and Customer Relationship Management

We are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Technical Service Representative to join our Pet Food division, where you will play a vital role in providing technical support and building strong relationships with our customers. Job Overview As a Customer Technical Service Representative at blithequark, you will serve as the primary technical contact for our customers, providing process assistance, material support, and technical problem resolution to ensure the efficient runability of our products in customer facilities. You will work closely with our sales team to respond to customer issues, manage relationships, and recommend product options to meet customer needs. Your expertise will be instrumental in troubleshooting and analyzing materials, documenting customer issues and resolutions, and testing samples to identify additional opportunities. Key Responsibilities Act as a liaison between blithequark customers and manufacturing plants, providing technical support and assistance with product materials and machine parameters Interface with customers and their employees to provide process assistance, respond to requests for problem resolution, and troubleshoot potential issues Work closely with the sales team to respond to customer issues, manage relationships, and recommend product options to meet customer needs Troubleshoot and analyze materials for customers, documenting issues and resolutions, and testing samples to identify additional opportunities Install, set up, and provide training on blithequark packaging equipment, as well as perform general preventative maintenance and audit, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed Travel up to 70% as needed to provide on-site support and training to customers Other duties as assigned to support the growth and success of blithequark Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in packaging, engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in flexible packaging production, maintenance, or packaging machine production. A Bachelor's degree in packaging, engineering, or a comparable field is preferred. You should also have experience in the flexible packaging industry, particularly in meat, cheese, or pet food packaging, as well as knowledge of printing and converting industry equipment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing organization, with a strong understanding of the flexible packaging process from film production through packaging and shipping of finished products Computer skills, including report writing and Microsoft Office, with the ability to troubleshoot packaging machine and flexible film interaction and mechanical issues Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience in machine breakdowns and upset conditions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess a unique combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills, including: Strong technical knowledge of packaging equipment, materials, and processes Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers and internal stakeholders Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Career Growth and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, providing opportunities for training, education, and career advancement.
