Job Overview As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern at blithequark, you will be part of a team that drives business excellence through data-driven insights. This 12-week internship, scheduled from May 21 to August 9, 2024, will provide you with hands-on experience in data analysis, process improvement, and compliance. You will work closely with our Quality Control team to identify trends, develop metrics, and present findings to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities Perform data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data elements to drive business insights. Assist in creating and delivering results from complex data and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Respond to ad-hoc queries and provide analytical support to enable senior leadership to make informed business decisions. Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools to facilitate stakeholder understanding. Develop and distribute specific queries to pull and integrate data from various sources, establishing the cadence and validating the need for data requirements. Identify process anomalies through reviews/audits and communicate findings to the team. Evaluate process effectiveness by monitoring for trends and errors. Ensure a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision. Perform other work-related tasks as directed by the team leader. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Strong ability to gather, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey ideas and present findings to diverse audiences. Ability to assess business issues, identify opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred qualifications include: Knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase. Ability to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications. Previous internship, capstone projects, and research coursework. Ability to work effectively in a strong team/help environment. Previous internship experience in a related field. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Ability to plan and support large business initiatives.
