About the Role The arenaflex Business Strategy and Operations team is responsible for driving all go-to-market capabilities for the arenaflex business, including strategy and business operations, analytics and data science, partnership enablement, and product activation. As a Data Engineer and Business Intelligence Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping go-to-market priorities, improving capabilities and competencies, driving efficiency across business operations, and building exceptional go-to-market infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Conduct requirements gathering and project scoping sessions with subject matter experts, business users, and executive stakeholders to discover and define business data needs. Design, build, and optimize data architecture and extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines to enable data-driven decision-making for business analysts, data scientists, and business users. Collaborate closely with analysts to productionize and scale value-creating capabilities, including data integrations and differences, model functions, and statistical and machine learning models. Drive the highest standards in data reliability, data integrity, and data governance, enabling accurate, consistent, and trustworthy data units, business intelligence products, and analyses. Engage with the analyst network, communicate with analysts to understand key user journeys and data sourcing inefficiencies, suggest best practices, and lead analyst trainings. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative area (e.g., computer science, math, physics, engineering) or equivalent practical experience. At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles. Experience with relational databases, including SQL queries, database definition, and schema design. Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, etc.). Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A Master's degree in a quantitative subject (e.g., computer science, engineering, statistics, math). Experience with data warehouses, distributed data platforms, and data lakes. Ability to navigate ambiguity and work in a fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholders. Excellent analytical thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex, multi-dimensional problems. Outstanding business and technical communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
