Our Data Science + Mix (DDSI) association is responsible for supporting clients across the company, including the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products division, which encompasses Parks and Resorts, both domestic and international, Consumer Products, and Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media, as well as the Disney General Entertainment Content division, which includes Studios Content (Disney General Entertainment Content), General Entertainment Content, and ESPN and Sports Content. Our DDSI team uses innovation, data analysis, development, statistical, and econometric modeling to investigate opportunities, shape business decisions, and drive business value. We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team and help us develop and support our cloud-based data pipelines. **About the Role** As a Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based data pipelines, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data sets, and data warehouses. You will work closely with our Data Science team to ensure that our data pipelines are scalable, efficient, and meet the needs of our business stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data sets, and data warehouses * Collaborate with our Data Science team to ensure that our data pipelines are scalable, efficient, and meet the needs of our business stakeholders * Develop and maintain data pipelines using a variety of tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, and GitLab * Work with our Data Engineering team to ensure that our data pipelines are secure, reliable, and meet the needs of our business stakeholders * Develop and maintain automated workflows and data pipelines using tools such as Apache Airflow and AWS Glue * Collaborate with our Data Science team to develop and maintain data sets and data warehouses * Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to support business decision-making **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field * 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support * Strong experience with Python and SQL, ideally with Snowflake * Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Azure * Experience with containerization using Docker * Experience with source control using GitLab or GitHub * Strong understanding of data set design and data warehousing * Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses, such as Snowflake or Databricks * Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI * Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence * Experience with cloud-based security and compliance tools, such as AWS IAM and Azure Active Directory * Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines **What We Offer** * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative company * Collaborative and supportive work environment * Professional development and growth opportunities * Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options * Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools * Opportunity to work on high-impact projects and contribute to the success of the company **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and talented data engineer looking for a new challenge, please submit your application, including your resume and a cover letter, to [insert contact information].
