About the Job We're seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to lead the development of our information pipelines and center tables. As a crucial member of our team, you will design, build, and manage our data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration of client event data into our data warehouse. This role offers the chance to collaborate closely with the researchers behind ChatGPT and contribute to the development of new models that will be delivered to clients. Your data-driven insights will play a vital role in informing business decisions, product development, and preventing potential issues. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and manage data pipelines, ensuring all client event data is consistently integrated into our data warehouse Create authoritative datasets to track key product metrics, including client growth, engagement, and revenue Collaborate with various teams, including Infrastructure, Data Science, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Research, to understand their data needs and provide solutions Implement robust and fault-tolerant systems for data ingestion and processing Participate in data architecture and engineering decisions, bringing strong technical expertise and data insights to the table Ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of data according to industry and company standards Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in Data Engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java Experience with distributed processing technologies and frameworks, like Hadoop, Flink, and distributed storage systems (e.g., HDFS, S3) Familiarity with ETL schedulers like Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar systems Strong understanding of Spark and ability to write, debug, and optimize Spark code Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or GCP Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we're committed to the growth and development of our employees.
