Job Overview The Data Engineering team at blithequark is responsible for partnering with various stakeholders to develop and maintain data pipelines, databases, and data systems. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data systems for better performance. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving business decisions, identifying opportunities, and creating value for the organization. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other relevant technologies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, develop data validation processes, and create ETL/ELT data pipelines Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data systems to support business intelligence and analytics Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing robust data validation, testing, and monitoring processes Optimize data systems for better performance, scalability, and reliability Work with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud-based platforms Develop and maintain automated workflows, schedulers, and data processing scripts using Python, Docker, and other relevant tools Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance Proven expertise in using Python and SQL (preferably with Snowflake) Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP practices for code management/development Experience with creating and maintaining automated work schedulers Solid understanding of relational database design and functionality Preferred Qualifications Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, preferably AWS Experience managing and deploying code using a source control system like GitLab/GitHub Experience using Docker and containerization Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
