Key Responsibilities Develop, deploy, and operate relational database programs across development, test, and production environments Design and implement effective test cases that are integrated into CI/CD pipelines Build observability capabilities into solutions to enable the critical identification of root causes for failures in time-sensitive processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability and reliability of SQL databases Participate in the development of new technologies and contribute to the wider engineering community through open-source initiatives Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering. The minimum qualifications for this position include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field 2-3 years of experience in developing, deploying, and operating relational database programs Proven experience in growing observability capabilities into solutions to enable the critical identification of root causes for failures 2+ years of experience with SQL and scalability Preferred Qualifications In addition to the minimum qualifications, we prefer candidates with: Exposure to Public Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) Experience with open-source technologies and contributing to the wider engineering community Strong understanding of financial regulatory expectations and experience working in a regulated environment Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++ Experience with database management systems, including relational and NoSQL databases Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and experience with migration and deployment Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to helping our colleagues grow and develop in their careers.
