Job Overview The blithequark Choice Science + Mix (DDSI) association is responsible for supporting clients across blithequark, including the Parks, Experiences and Products segment, which encompasses Parks and Resorts, Consumer Products, and Disney Brand Experiences, as well as the Disney Entertainment segment, which includes Studios Content, General Entertainment Content, and ESPN and Sports Content. The DDSI team leverages technology, data analysis, optimization, statistical, and econometric modeling to identify opportunities, shape business decisions, and drive business value. Key Responsibilities Partner with Decision Science Products, Decision Science, Client, and Technology colleagues on various development and sustainment projects, ad-hoc requests, prototyping, and research initiatives by providing data pipeline and database engineering services. Manage the development and sustainment of products for the Media business, including data engineering activities such as maintaining and improving data acquisition processes, data validation processes, ETL/ELT data pipelines, and overall process alerting strategies. Gather data requirements, create source-to-target mappings, develop data validation scripts, and review data validation results. Design, develop, and monitor ETL/ELT data pipelines, create and execute database schema/tables/views, and produce datasets as input to science models and representations. Utilize technologies such as SQL (primarily Snowflake and PostgreSQL), Python, Docker, Gitlab, and Airflow to fulfill job responsibilities. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance. Proven knowledge and expertise using Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake). Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP practices for code organization/development. Experience creating and maintaining automated job schedulers. A solid understanding of relational database design and functionality. Preferred Qualifications To stand out as a candidate, you will need: Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar. Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, ideally AWS. Experience managing and deploying code using a source control product like GitLab/GitHub. Experience using Docker.
