About the Role: Data Entry Clerk - Medical Billing We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our dynamic team at arenaflex. Key Responsibilities: Accurately input patient demographics and billing information into our systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. Verify and update insurance details to ensure accurate claims processing, collaborating with the billing team to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely claims submissions. Maintain and organize electronic records with strict adherence to confidentiality standards, ensuring the security and integrity of sensitive patient information. Assist in identifying and rectifying data entry errors to minimize financial discrepancies, contributing to process improvement efforts to enhance data accuracy and efficiency. Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in data entry, computer skills, and organizational management. Previous experience in data entry or medical billing is preferred but not required, with a willingness to undergo training to become proficient in medical billing processes. Proficiency in data entry with a keen eye for detail, strong computer skills, including familiarity with data entry software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Preferred Qualifications: Post-secondary education in a related field, such as healthcare administration, medical billing, or a related discipline. Certification in medical billing or a related field, such as Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC). Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS), with a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding principles. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and OIG, with a commitment to compliance and data integrity.
