Key Responsibilities As a Data Entry Operator at blithequark, your primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our company databases. Your key responsibilities will include: Entering customer and account data from source documents within specified time limits, ensuring that all information is accurate and complete. Compiling, verifying accuracy, and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry, using your attention to detail to identify any discrepancies or errors. Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities, and checking output to ensure that all information is accurate and reliable. Researching and obtaining further information for incomplete documents, using your analytical skills to track down missing data and ensure that our records are comprehensive. Scanning documents and printing files as needed, using your knowledge of office equipment to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently. Maintaining the confidentiality of all company information, adhering to our data integrity and security policies to protect sensitive data. Responding to queries for information and accessing relevant files, using your organizational skills to provide timely and accurate responses to requests. Complying with data integrity and security policies, ensuring that all data entry tasks are completed in accordance with our company's standards and procedures. Ensuring the proper use of office equipment and addressing any malfunctions, using your technical skills to troubleshoot issues and minimize downtime. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Proven data entry work experience, either as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk, with a demonstrated ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer systems. Experience with MS Office and data programs, including spreadsheets and online forms, with the ability to quickly learn new software applications. Familiarity with administrative duties, including data entry, record-keeping, and file management, with a strong understanding of the importance of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience using office equipment, such as fax machines and scanners, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain equipment. Typing speed and accuracy, with the ability to enter data quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, with the ability to proofread and edit data entries for errors. Attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct errors or discrepancies in data entries. Confidentiality, with the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive company information and adhere to our data integrity and security policies. Organization skills, with the ability to stay focused on assigned tasks and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma, with additional computer training or certification an asset, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
