Key Responsibilities As an Experienced Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include: Reading and deciphering customer and shipping orders submitted through various channels, including in-person, print catalog, and online platforms, with a focus on accurately interpreting handwriting that may be difficult to read. Keying data into specific Microsoft Excel fields, leveraging existing data from online orders to streamline the process. Verifying the accuracy of data before entry to ensure consistency and reliability across our systems. Reporting any data errors or anomalies to your supervisor in a timely and professional manner. Maintaining accurate and updated logs of ongoing work to ensure transparency and accountability. Performing administrative duties such as filing, copying, and other tasks as required to support the team. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent reading comprehension skills to accurately interpret orders and data. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to resolve data discrepancies and anomalies. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors. Patient and detail-oriented approach to repetitive work, with a focus on accuracy and quality. Reading knowledge of English, with approximately 5-10% of orders also in Spanish. One to two years of experience in data entry and/or filing, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency. Social perceptiveness and service orientation to provide excellent support to our customers and team members. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience working with Microsoft Excel, including data entry, formatting, and basic formulas. Familiarity with data management systems and software applications. Basic knowledge of administrative procedures and protocols.
