The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical skills, and excellent communication skills. If you are a motivated and organized individual with a passion for data entry, we encourage you to apply. **Responsibilities** As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: * Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into the appropriate system database * Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution * Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database * Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications * Following data program security practices and procedures at all times * Routinely securing information by completing database backup daily * Performing other varied clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required * Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPAA regulations * Performing other duties as assigned **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * High school diploma or equivalent required * A minimum of 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience * Experience in a medical office preferred but not required * Must be tech-savvy and be detail-oriented * Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone * Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet * Must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M. * Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness * Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met * Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed * Must be able to maintain confidentiality * Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environment **Skills and Competencies** To excel in this role, you will need to possess: * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software programs * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
