Job Overview The Data Science Manager will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies, processes, and frameworks to analyze and interpret complex data sets. This includes creating and executing strategic plans, managing team(s) assigned to projects, and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive business growth through data-driven decisions. Key Responsibilities Develops, creates, and carries out strategies, cycles, and frameworks to unite and analyze assorted informational collections, including structured and unstructured data. Manages the everyday functional exercises that create and execute strategic designs for determined regions, directing team(s) appointed to projects and overseeing executions. Ensures assets are precisely allocated in accordance with strategic plans and properly represented, guaranteeing effective resource utilization. Creates programming programs, algorithms, dashboards, data tools, and inquiries to clean, model, integrate, and assess datasets, staying informed about new scientific techniques and innovations. Collaborates with functional specialty units to drive business arrangements and direction, laying out credibility with partners while managing assumptions and ensuring regular, consistent, and effective communications. May foster a budget for the practical region, overseeing the budget to design, and being responsible for region budget and conveying against business objectives/goals. Allocates available resources to meet working targets, creating and mentoring staff through on-boarding, open communication, training, and development opportunities, and performance management processes. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, computational, or technical discipline. Experience with analysis and statistical software like SQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, and/or others to perform analysis and interpret data. Profound knowledge of SQL and open-source data science and statistics packages like Python, R, Spark, etc. Experience establishing and maintaining key associations with inside (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and outside (business community, clients, and vendors) partners to foster strategies that meet office objectives within budget and timelines. At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace. At least 2 years of direct management, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership. Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (inside state and out of state). Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a quantitative, computational, or technical discipline. Experience communicating at the executive level. Experience leading cross-functional teams.
