Key Responsibilities Support the streaming business with AI and statistical modeling focused on understanding and predicting subscriber behavior, such as churn, upgrade/downgrade, price responsiveness, customer segmentation, survival analysis, experiment design and analysis, and causal inference. Develop and implement innovative AI strategies to address key business questions while identifying new areas to explore. Drive experimentation to evaluate the impact of your models and collaborate intimately with colleagues across the organization to identify and unlock opportunities. Present your recommendations to senior executives and work closely with different data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, data visualization, experimentation, and data architecture. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, or Statistics. 3+ years of experience designing, building, and evaluating practical AI solutions. Strong coding experience in (at least one) data programming languages like Python/R, with additional experience in scientific libraries like Numpy, Pandas, or equivalent libraries a plus. Proficient in analyzing data and building ML models using Python (with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, etc.). Strong background in statistical modeling: regression, classification, time series forecasting, causal inference, and other methods. Experience building interpretable numerical models and solving complex quantitative problems that can be understood by non-technical stakeholders. Ability to make insights and recommendations from data to inform model development and business decisions. Willingness to collaborate with other data scientists, data analysts, and key stakeholders. Good understanding of SQL. Preferred Qualifications Postgraduate degree in a quantitative field. Excellent analytical skills, high level of statistical knowledge. Proven ability to choose the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with changing needs. Strong interpersonal skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Experience with data platforms and applications like Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Airflow, Github. Experience with designing and analyzing A/B testing and other experiment types. Experience thinking strategically to interpret market and consumer data, ideally about a subscription service. Experience with distributed data technologies (Hive, Spark).
