Key Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database activity requirements and ensure the efficient storage and retrieval of data Investigate and resolve common database issues, performing disaster recovery tasks as needed Perform routine database maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backup and recovery, and SQL job management Optimize database performance, using knowledge of database sizing and performance tuning practices Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that all database systems are well-documented and easily accessible Collaborate with developers to design and implement database solutions, using SQL and other programming languages Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data management and SQL solutions, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our database systems Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent education and work experience Strong knowledge of database concepts, including data modeling, database design, and database administration Experience with SQL and database management systems, including database maintenance, backup and recovery, and performance tuning Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex database issues Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL technology, including database migration and deployment Knowledge of PowerShell scripting, including the ability to develop and maintain scripts for automated tasks Experience with SQL AOG and database mirroring, including the ability to design and implement high-availability database solutions Strong understanding of data security and compliance, including the ability to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data Experience with agile development methodologies, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
