Job Details The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various SQL database conditions of low to moderate complexity and SQL DB solutions to meet application development requirements. You will work closely with our teams to investigate and resolve common DB issues, perform disaster recovery tasks, and maintain the overall health and performance of our databases. Key Responsibilities Investigate and resolve common DB issues, performing disaster recovery tasks as needed Perform routine DB maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backups (full, differential, and log backups), and monitoring SQL jobs Apply DB sizing and performance tuning practices to optimize database performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet database activity requirements and support application development Develop and maintain technical documentation related to database management and maintenance Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our database management practices Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent in education and work experience Strong understanding of database management principles, including database design, development, and maintenance Experience with SQL database conditions, including SQL Server and Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL technology Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex database issues Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL technology, including SQL AOG and DB mirroring Ability to develop Powershell scripts to automate database management tasks Knowledge of database performance tuning practices, including indexing, caching, and query optimization Experience with database security, including access control, authentication, and encryption Certifications in database management, such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
