About the Role of a DX Engineer/Frameworks As a DX Engineer/Frameworks at Vercel, you will be integral to our cross-functional teams, working closely with software engineers, DevOps specialists, and product managers. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our development tools, workflows, and documentation. Key Responsibilities Ensuring High-Quality Solutions: You will be responsible for testing and refining our latest features, ensuring they meet our high standards for developer experience. This involves dogfooding our products, identifying pain points, and suggesting improvements. Documentation Excellence: Developing and maintaining documentation that is both accessible to beginners and powerful enough for advanced users is crucial. You will ensure our docs are easy to navigate, understand, and support our deeply technical products. Community Growth and Education: You will play a key role in fostering a positive and helpful community of developers. This includes creating high-quality examples and sharing best practices that demonstrate how our products work effectively. Solution-Oriented Approach: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and solve customer problems. This involves documenting workarounds and providing customers with clear paths forward, ensuring their issues are addressed comprehensively. About You To excel in this role, you should bring a combination of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for community building. Specifically, we are looking for: Experience: At least five years of experience in a Developer Relations, Developer Experience Engineer, or a related role, with a proven track record of creating impactful documentation. Technical Skills: Proficiency in frontend tools such as TypeScript, Next.js, and Vercel, along with experience in MDX, Markdown, and Git workflows. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture. Adaptability and Learning: A quick learner who can adapt to new domains, articulate complex concepts into clear content, and focus on creating reader-first documentation. Content Creation: The ability to understand and apply various content types effectively in technical writing, ensuring documentation is accessible and engaging.
