As a Diesel Lab Aide, you will be an integral part of this program, working closely with students, instructors, and staff to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor students for safe work habits and provide guidance as needed to ensure a safe and healthy lab environment. Check out tools and equipment to students, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all necessary resources are available. Answer technical questions from students, providing support and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Assist instructors with lab preparation, setup, and other tasks as required. Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, adhering to SVC's high standards of safety and quality. Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: Prior experience in the diesel industry, with a basic understanding of diesel-industry systems and tools. The ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including mobility in a shop environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, instructors, and staff. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Some teaching and/or mentoring experience, with a proven track record of supporting student success.
