Job Overview We are urgently seeking a Dietary Assistant to work alongside our medical professionals in providing assistance in all food services functions. As a Dietary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, while also maintaining a clean and safe environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis to ensure that our residents receive their meals in a prompt and efficient manner. Clean worktables, meat blocks, and refrigerators/freezers, etc. to maintain a clean and safe environment for food preparation and service. Assist the cook in preparing meals, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Serve food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take them to the dishwashing area for cleaning and sanitizing. Work collaboratively with other dietary staff to ensure that all food services functions are completed efficiently and effectively. Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, meal service, and other relevant information as required. Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure that our food services meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Essential Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred. Covid Vaccine required unless an approved exemption is presented upon hiring. Must be 18+ to apply. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a dietary or food service environment. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Certification in food safety or a related field.
