This role will be responsible for leading the development and execution of clinical trials, ensuring that they are conducted on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. Job Summary The Director of Decentralized Clinical Trials will act as a leader within the Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT) solutions and operations team, working closely with the Head of DCT to develop and deliver flexible, efficient, and patient-centric hybrid and decentralized trials. This is a part-time remote customer support job, offering a competitive salary of $26 per hour. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of clinical trials, managing cross-functional review teams, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of DCT projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute clinical trials, ensuring that they are conducted on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance Supervise cross-functional review teams during all stages of study development, operationalization, and delivery Assist the Head of Decentralized Clinical Trials in strategic planning, resourcing, and activation of decentralized and hybrid trials Manage the selection and management of decentralized trial vendors, including the development of business requirements and management of the UAT process Oversee the development of study reports and plans, including protocol, ICF, SAP, DMP, and safety plan development Recruit, train, manage, and mentor DCT team members; collaborate with Product and Technology leadership to ensure that key features for customers are launched on time and meet customer needs Provide oversight of the conduct of remote clinical trial visits, site initiations, and study closeouts with customer representatives Participate in business development efforts, including proposal and budget development and bid defense process Assist with the development and maintenance of appropriate SOPs, plans, and policies related to DCTs Provide input to the technical team to extend capabilities to support customer needs Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Past experience in creating and leading DCT projects, including budget and scope development Knowledge of and experience managing DCT vendors Deep understanding of the drug device development process, including decentralized and hybrid trials Working knowledge of ICH GCP, US CFR, and HIPAA regulations Skilled with the ability to apply new systems to routine tasks Understand the importance of adaptability and enthusiasm to learn and adapt to technology changes over time Strong leadership skills with proven ability to lead internal and external teams Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions to operationalize and move clinical trial projects forward Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and resources, meet deadlines, and be flexible to changing needs Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect management, or cross-functional team leadership Able to travel up to 20% of the time for business purposes within and outside the state Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a relevant field Additional experience in clinical research, customer support, or a related field Certifications or training in clinical research, project management, or leadership Experience with decentralized clinical trial technologies and platforms Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines for clinical trials Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
