Experienced Distributed Systems Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure Development and Data Management Expert

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Distributed Systems Engineer to join our team and help us develop and improve our infrastructure as we pursue our ambitious goal of reaching 500 million people worldwide. As a Distributed Systems Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems that are robust, scalable, and highly available. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and technical program managers, to drive business outcomes and improve our systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain large-scale distributed systems that meet the needs of our business and users Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and improve our systems Architect and build robust, scalable, and highly available distributed systems Lead and participate in the development of new features and applications Work with open-source communities and contribute to arenaflex's open-source projects Participate in the on-call rotation and ensure the reliability and uptime of our systems Focus Areas Our Data Infrastructure Groups are focused on building and maintaining the systems that enable us to use data to drive business outcomes. Some of the focus areas include: Database Access Platform: building and operating a flexible query gateway that enables information abstractions to work at sub-millisecond latencies Data Platform Framework: providing a platform for our own data platforms, enabling us to rapidly evolve and provide cutting-edge data and analytics systems to the rest of the company Data Development and Processing: offering a self-service cleared path product to enable varied client personas across arenaflex to meet their low-latency data development and processing requirements Big Data Registry: providing the cloud-native platform for distributed data processing at arenaflex Big Data Solution: offering the platform for planning, organizing, and executing big data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: 2+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems features or applications Experience with the design and development of RESTful web services Proficiency in Java or other object-oriented programming languages Experience with multi-threading and concurrent programming A BS in Computer Science or a related field What We Offer At arenaflex, we offer a unique and dynamic work environment that is designed to help you grow and succeed.
