Experienced Early Intervention Behavior Technician – Autism Support Specialist for Children and Families

As an Early Intervention Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Early Intervention Behavior Technician to join our team in Newburyport, MA. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs, providing one-on-one support to children with ASD in their homes. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with ASD, implementing treatment plans and programs established by our BCBAs Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, maintaining accurate and detailed records Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans, working collaboratively with our BCBAs to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, maintaining a high level of professionalism and dedication to your work Work flexibly, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, to accommodate the needs of our clients and their families Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting, or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor) Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Personal means of transportation, with a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license, to travel between clients Ability to lift up to 35lbs, perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, and respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with flexibility to accommodate changing circumstances and client needs Preferred Qualifications: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification, or willingness to obtain certification with our support and guidance Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families, or equivalent experience in a related field Knowledge of ABA principles and practices, with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field Career Growth and Development Opportunities At Key Autism Services, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members, providing opportunities for professional development, training, and advancement.
