Key Responsibilities Provides leadership and vision for the elementary school, promoting a positive and productive learning environment. Addresses staff concerns and issues, including discipline, in collaboration with the Dean of Students or Assistant Principals. Assists with all matters related to curriculum and instruction, ensuring alignment with district goals and objectives. Responsible for building communications, budgets, and personnel matters, including coordination with union leadership. Supervises the improvement of instruction, staff development, and faculty meetings, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Develops and maintains positive relationships with staff, parents, students, and the broader community. Ensures the safety and well-being of students and staff, implementing accident prevention programs and disaster drills as needed. Provides student discipline as necessary, following established policies and regulations. Meets with parent organizations and community groups to facilitate their work and promote collaboration. Coordinates preparation of reports, attends administrative staff meetings, and serves on various committees to promote district development. Performs other tasks and assumes other duties as assigned by the superintendent or designee. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: A master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, with a focus on school administration, special education, and/or curriculum and instruction. Administrative experience preferred, with a proven track record of leadership and achievement. OPES 2.0 Credentialed preferred, demonstrating expertise in educational leadership. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and students. A commitment to promoting the district's vision and mission, with a focus on equity, inclusivity, and student success. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities. Proficiency in operating various office machines and technology devices, including computers, calculators, and smartboards.
