About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Language Arts Tutor to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. As a tutor with arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to work with students of various ages and skill levels, providing personalized guidance and support in English Language Arts, Reading, Writing, and Homework preparation. Our ideal candidate is an experienced tutor and/or teacher with a solid understanding of the education field and a passion for inspiring students to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in English Language Arts, focusing on areas such as high school level language arts and writing, reading fluency, language arts, reading comprehension, and homework preparation. Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student, ensuring they receive the support and guidance necessary to excel. Submit detailed session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session, maintaining open communication and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of student progress. Effectively manage tutoring hours, balancing the needs of each assigned student and ensuring that all clients receive the attention and support they require. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and timely manner. Collaborate with our office team to ensure seamless communication and follow-up on student enrollments, hours, and progress. Essential Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry, with a preference for experience in tutoring/teaching specialized education fields. Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are highly valued, although not a requirement for this role. Proven experience with basic database/data entry, as well as the ability to prepare lesson plans and adapt to different learning styles. Strong administrative skills, including typing, PC, and recording skills, are essential for this position. Reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must, as well as access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone. A personality suited for working with diverse students, patience, and a passion for education are vital for success in this role. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students of various ages and skill levels, including those with specialized learning needs. Familiarity with test anxiety strategies and techniques for supporting students in managing stress and building confidence. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
