Your tasks will include: Evaluating web content using your PC and smartphone to improve the quality of a major search engine Assessing online search results to ensure they meet the required standards of relevance and accuracy Providing feedback on language, grammar, tone, and cultural appropriateness to help refine search results Utilizing your knowledge of current and historical local business, media, sports, news, social media, and cultural affairs to inform your evaluations Navigating web browsers and smartphone apps to interact with content and complete tasks Downloading and using various apps to complete tasks and provide feedback Participating in occasional quality assurance checks to ensure the high quality of your work Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements: Proficiency in written and verbal English, with excellent communication and analytical skills Residency in the United States for the past three consecutive years, with a deep understanding of local culture and affairs Ownership and regular use of a smartphone (Android V5.0 or higher or iPhone running iOS version 14.0 or higher) and a desktop/laptop with internet connection at your expense Gmail as your primary email account, with familiarity with Google products and services Familiarity with current and historical local business, media, sports, news, social media, and cultural affairs, with the ability to apply this knowledge in your evaluations Experience navigating web browsers and smartphone apps, with the ability to learn new platforms and tools quickly Willingness to download and use various apps, with a strong understanding of social media environments, including memes, virality, and trends While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are desirable: Laptop with video camera and/or Android device with minimum 8MP HDR camera @ 30fps, 64GB storage, 4GB RAM, Android 10+ Previous experience in content evaluation, search engine optimization, or a related field Strong technical skills, with the ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately evaluate and provide feedback on content Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines Strong technical skills, with the ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly and adapt to changing circumstances Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At TELUS Digital, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
