Job Overview blithequark is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join its team as a Remote Data Entry Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing counsel to more experienced administration for monetary bookkeeping-related matters, performing complex exercises related to maintaining record accounts, creating fiscal summaries, and administrative reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, analysis, financial reporting, or risk reporting, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Provide counsel to more experienced administration for monetary bookkeeping-related matters Perform complex exercises related to maintaining record accounts, creating fiscal summaries, and administrative reports Collect and review financial information for monetary and administrative reports Review information from the general ledger, unit reports, and different financial systems to ensure accuracy Prepare and review account reconciliations and verifications Investigate projects related to financial accounting strategies, techniques, or systems Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal control policies Offer practical guidance and train individuals for remote data entry jobs Provide support for compliance and risk management requirements Collaborate and communicate with partners throughout the organization Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have at least 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, analysis, financial reporting, or risk reporting, or equivalent experience demonstrated through a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. You must also possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize complex data into understandable, meaningful information and recommendations. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of SEC/Federal quarterly reporting experience Fiserv data/knowledge and COSO-based Sarbanes-Oxley internal control assessment implementation Military experience or analytical experience including operational management, project management, mission development management, and financial management 1+ year of credit card industry reporting experience and corporate/business loan products knowledge Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation Big 4/regional public accounting/financial services experience Proficiency in Transitional Essbase/SmartView and advanced Microsoft Excel with VLOOKUP/pivot tables Solid knowledge/experience with General Ledger reconciliations and automation tools Independent judgment/creative problem-solving to investigate/identify/anticipate downstream effects in complex matrixed environments Knowledge/understanding of US GAAP financial statements or components preparation with the ability to translate/summarize complex data into understandable, meaningful information and recommendations Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize complex data into understandable, meaningful information and recommendations. You must also have advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access, with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
