Decisions are guided by data, and we collaborate with engineering, science, and product teams to foster an innovative learning environment. **Key Responsibilities** As an Applied Scientist at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to: * Drive collaborative research and creative problem-solving to develop innovative AI solutions * Apply scientific concepts to real-world business problems, leveraging your expertise in LLM, ML, and NLP * Create experiments and prototype implementations of new learning algorithms and prediction techniques * Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement software solutions for science problems * Constructively critique peer research and mentor junior scientists and engineers **Essential Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * 3+ years of experience building models for business applications * A PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field * Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals * Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or related languages * Experience in areas like algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, experience in the following areas will be highly valued: * Using Unix/Linux * Professional software development * Research and implementation of multi-turn task-oriented dialogue systems * Natural Language Understanding / Spoken Language Understanding * Information Retrieval, Question Answering, Semantic Representation * Zero-shot or Few-shot Learning * Crowdsourced NLU annotation best practices * Reinforcement Learning (preferably in an NLP application) * Computational Linguistics * Large scale text classification **About arenaflex** arenaflex is a global leader in customer service, committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
