If you're passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and working in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply. **Job Summary** As a Ramp and Customer Service Agent, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks that include customer interactions and ramp operations. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and providing exceptional customer service to our passengers. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, think on your feet, and adapt to changing situations. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist passengers with their travel needs, including responding to requests, handling baggage, and checking-in travelers and loading flights in a timely manner. * Work outside in various weather conditions while performing underneath wing operations, including transporting luggage and freight, stacking and offloading equipment and freight, airplane marshaling, pushing back the airplane, and airplane deicing. * Perform airplane prepping and security checks. * Handle boarding and door duties, including assisting and coordinating passengers, making announcements, processing boarding passes and upgrade requests. * Process and secure passenger baggage, including recording and maintaining baggage claims for damaged, delayed, or lost luggage. * Stack and offload baggage and freight using conveyor belts. * Perform other duties as assigned by management, including tasks of varying complexity to ensure total passenger satisfaction. * Work in a team environment, providing support and assistance to colleagues as needed. **Work-Specific Experience, Education, and Skills** * Required: + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. + Valid driver's license. + Ability to learn and work a modernized reservation system. + Typing speed of at least 25 WPM. + Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly. + Ability to stand for extended periods. + Ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach, and handle. + Ability to perform basic math. + Ability to work an adaptable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. + Ability to participate in paid training that may require temporary travel. + Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification. + Ability to acquire airport security status. + Ability to communicate in English. + High school diploma or equivalent. + Minimum age of 18. + Ability to work in the U.S. * Preferred: + At least 1 year of customer service or community service experience. **Work-Specific Authority Assumptions** * Embody our values of safety, making the right decision, being compassionate, delivering execution, and being remarkable. **Compensation and Benefits** * Starting rate: USD $20.00/Hr. * Total compensation: Alaska Airlines and Skyline Air pay and benefits can vary by organization, location, number of regularly scheduled hours worked, length of service, and business status. * Free travel privileges on Alaska Airlines and Skyline Air. * Comprehensive health programs, including medical, dental, and vision benefits. * Liberal 401k match program. * Quarterly and annual bonus plans. * Generous time off and paid holidays. **Equal Business Opportunity** arenaflex is an Equal Business Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action employer that is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
