Join blithequark, and be part of a team that's committed to making the world a better place. **About the Role** We're seeking an experienced data engineer to join our DSI team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining data architectures and engineering solutions that support business growth and revenue. As a data engineer at blithequark, you'll have the opportunity to work on complex business problems, design and develop scalable data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and test large-scale data architectures and engineering solutions to support business intelligence and reporting across blithequark's global and regional sales and finance teams. * Develop highly adaptable data pipelines to ingest data from various source systems, use Apache Airflow to orchestrate, schedule, and monitor workflows. * Build reusable and scalable solutions that can address complex business needs using various technologies and frameworks. * Ensure data quality through establishing data quality management frameworks and anomaly detection capabilities. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data solutions that meet business requirements. * Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and architecture. **Essential Qualifications** * 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and data architecture. * Strong expertise in designing and developing cloud data architectures using Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and large data platforms like Hadoop, Hive, and Dremio. * Experience in developing custom ETL pipelines using SQL and scripting languages (Python, Shell, Golang) and workflow management tools like Apache Airflow. * Strong understanding of advanced SQL, execution tuning, and data modeling. * Experience with current data engineering trends like data lakes, data lakehouse, and distributed computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud. * Experience with version control systems, CI/CD workflows, testing, and deployment tools for databases and software. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security frameworks. * Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and applications. * Experience with cloud-based data platforms like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, and Snowflake. * Strong understanding of data warehousing, data mart, and data lake concepts. * Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and D3.js. **Skills and Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Strong understanding of data engineering and architecture concepts. * Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.
