Our Security and Legal Information Designing team is dedicated to crafting adaptable data management and extraction structures that underpin our ability to maintain the highest standards of information protection and compliance. **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of strong, flexible, and privacy-driven data structures. As a key member of our team, you will work with various data technologies, including Flash, Voila, Flink, Kafka, and others, to build fast, versatile, and powerful data pipelines. You will also be responsible for writing ETL tasks to collect and aggregate data, as well as designing high-quality data structures that enable the proper treatment of client personal information. **Key Responsibilities** * Engineer effective, adaptable, and flexible data pipelines to manage structured and unstructured data * Develop a deep understanding of the data ecosystem at blithequark from a privacy-focused perspective * Collaborate with the privacy design teams to understand product objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to client and regulatory information requests * Maintain and reevaluate existing datasets and pipelines * Join a talented team of data engineers who enhance our information protection and mitigate legal and regulatory risk **Essential Qualifications** * Strong passion for consumer-driven data protection and risk mitigation for the business * Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala with a minimum of 2 years of programming/data engineering experience * Familiarity with advanced SQL * Experience in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets * Ability to take requirements and implement flexible data models and pipelines * Strong desire to exhibit excellence, learn new technologies, and grow your career **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) * Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) * Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) * Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) **Skills and Competencies** * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.
