Job Summary In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines to support advanced analytics and data science initiatives. You will work closely with data scientists to define data requirements, develop data models, and create data pipelines that generate insights and address reporting needs. Your expertise in data engineering will enable you to create flexible, repeatable, and secure data pipelines, ensuring data consistency and integrity. You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to exchange complex information, resolve issues, and drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Creates programming that processes, stores, and serves data for use by others, ensuring data quality and accessibility standards are met. Designs data models and pipelines to integrate, collect, and normalize data, generating insights and addressing reporting needs. Writes ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, designs database systems, and develops tools for real-time and offline analytical processing. Creates data pipelines that are flexible, repeatable, and secure, ensuring data consistency and integrity. Investigates software and processes for data consistency and integrity, coordinating data from various sources and ensuring compliance with data quality and accessibility standards. Resolves issues and obstacles as they arise, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to exchange complex information and drive business outcomes. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in data engineering; OR a Master's degree in a technical discipline. Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes. Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, driving improvement of results and finding solutions. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state). Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A Master's degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics. Experience with REST API development, Azure application development, and Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Functions. Experience building Azure DevOPS pipelines to enable CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Iaas), and automation. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, and experience with data engineering tools and technologies.
