As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to the development of new and exciting technologies. **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our Information and Investigation group for Disney Web-based features (DSS), a section under the Disney Diversion and ESPN Innovation (DE&ET). As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of our data solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy scalable and efficient data systems. **Key Responsibilities** * Contribute to the design and development of our data items and data centers around Commitment and Maintenance Examination and Information Science * Plan and develop versatile information warehousing arrangements, building ETL pipelines in Large Information conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) * Our tech stack includes Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flash, and Windstream, with languages including Python, Scala * Help engineer data arrangements/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops * Collaborate with Data Item Chiefs, Data Modelers, and Data Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions * Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data administration * Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligation to our clients (Information Science, Information Examination groups) * Be a proactive member and supporter of agile/scrum practice to ensure well-being and cycle enhancements for your team **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * Solid SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets * Experience with distributed frameworks like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data * Solid programming skills in Python, Java/Scala * Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query) * Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e. Windstream) and composing and maintaining data pipelines * Solid understanding of data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard systems and practices * Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with Cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2) * Strong involvement in data science and machine learning * Experience with data visualization tools and technologies * Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles **What We Offer** * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and technologies * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Professional development and growth opportunities * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance * Flexible work arrangements and remote work options **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and skilled data engineer looking for a new challenge, please submit your application, including your resume and a cover letter, to [insert contact information].
