As a Remote Operations Agent, you'll be part of a talented team that shares our values and is dedicated to making a positive impact. **Job Summary** As a Remote Operations Agent, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients, while also working collaboratively with our team to drive business growth and improvement. This is a full-time, remote position that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients via phone, email, and chat * Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner * Work collaboratively with our team to drive business growth and improvement * Utilize our automated retail location system to manage client transactions and resolve issues * Handle cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets * Calculate charges, make change, and balance daily transactions * Inspect and verify cargo and freight * Answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page clients, resolve issues, and assist on a case-by-case basis * Manage exchanges to load the aircraft in a timely and efficient manner * Manage misused clients due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage * Resolve issues quickly and within established company guidelines * Provide current and accurate information, schedules, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general questions from clients and other guests at the airport * Complete forms and reports as required by the company * Write anomaly and complaint reports as needed * Perform other work duties as directed by Representative's Chiefs **Essential Qualifications** * Ability to type and use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the needs of the job * Ability to understand reports, follow directions, learn and comprehend tagging techniques, rules, and guidelines * Ability to work with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful circumstances * Ability to complete the Client Service Agent training program with an 80% or higher average and assessment period * Knowledge of hazardous situations and ability to handle crises as needed * Ability to work under close time constraints to achieve rapid turnaround of aircraft * Ability to give a well-groomed appearance in understanding the Ground Activities Worker Handbook and Work Arrangement * Ability to perform all job duties within a limited space * Ability to communicate verbally by phone, in person, and on public address systems effectively * Good written and oral communication skills * Ability to convey information and directions verbally or via radio equipment **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment * Experience with automated retail location systems * Knowledge of air travel industry and regulations * Bilingual or multilingual skills * Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities **Education and Experience** * No education requirement * No experience requirement **Certifications and Licenses** * Ability to obtain a SIDA identification and meet all local airport requirements * May be required by Station Initiative to obtain a Customs Seal and meet all requirements to work international flights **Physical Demands** * Ability to lift and move objects up to 70 pounds consistently and frequently lift or move loads of 40 to 50 pounds onto raised surfaces * Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and stand consistently and for extended periods * Ability to wear approved attire **Other Requirements** * Ability to maintain a well-groomed appearance per company appearance standards as portrayed in established rules * Ability to be a U.S. citizen or have approval to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 * Ability to be at least 18 years old * Ability to follow company participation norms as depicted in established rules * Ability to work shift work and overtime * Unknown language skills are attractive, but not required **Benefits** * Competitive hourly pay rate with opportunities for future increases based on relevant collective bargaining agreement pay scale * Valuable opportunities for extra time and shift charges * Fly free of charge, as an honor, on any open seat on every Southwest flight (your qualified dependents as well) * blithequark will assist with financing your Retirement Investment funds Plan with company commitments up to 9.3% of your qualified earnings * Potential for yearly Profit Sharing commitment in the blithequark Retirement Reserve funds Plan - when blithequark benefits, you profit * Competitive medical coverage for yourself and your qualified dependents (including pets) * blithequark offers health plan inclusion choices that begin from the absolute first day of work.
