Job Overview The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for performing daily reconciliation, trade, and transfer tasks for Alternate Investments. This critical role involves processing trade deal purchases in customer profiles, identifying and addressing breaks recognized between blithequark and fund companies or transfer agents. The successful candidate will also be accountable for processing Corporate Activity Activities, settling and reconciling transactions, and processing and reconciling returns activity. Additionally, the Data Entry Specialist may be relied upon to analyze complex and escalated issues, conduct testing and validation of new technology enhancements, and provide support for provider changes. Key Responsibilities Process trade deal purchases in customer profiles, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Identify and address breaks recognized between blithequark and fund companies or transfer agents, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner Process Corporate Activity Activities, including settling and reconciling transactions and processing returns activity Analyze complex and escalated issues, providing effective solutions and recommendations to management Conduct testing and validation of new technology enhancements, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations Provide exceptional client and advisor service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Collaborate with internal teams, including Retail and Institutional Service Teams, to ensure effective communication and issue resolution Embodiment of blithequark's values and principles in daily interactions with external business partners, including fund companies, transfer agents, and opposite agencies Essential Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., business, finance, or accounting) an asset Previous experience in data entry, finance, or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial concepts and terminology Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions Strong attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and precision in data entry and processing Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external business partners Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience using Salesforce and other software applications an asset Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., business, finance, or accounting) Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a strong ability to self-motivate and work independently Experience using software applications, such as Slack, Outlook, and Salesforce Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including 2340 and 15C3-3 Certification or designation in a related field (e.g., CFA, CPA, or CFP) Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external business partners Strong attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and precision in data entry and processing Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience using other software applications an asset Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
