As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere, at any time, while still being connected to our global team and community. **Conversion Information: The Key to Advertisements Reporting and ML Modeling** Conversion information is the foundation for advertisements reporting and ML modeling at blithequark. Ensuring that our conversion information delivers a high signal-to-noise ratio of users' business intent is critical for providing business value to advertisers. We're seeking an experienced data scientist to help us shape the approach of conversion information quality and develop solutions for reinforcing the data foundation for our advertisements system. In this role, you'll work on a wide range of exciting data science challenges in this new frontier, including: * Defining and analyzing data quality metrics * Establishing causal relationships between users' online behaviors and conversions * Developing metrics to measure the effectiveness of advertisements * Designing and prototyping automated solutions to identify data quality issues and improve advertisements ML model performance **What You'll Do** As a Senior Data Scientist on our team, you'll be responsible for: * Conducting deep-dive analysis to discover patterns in real-world user conversion data and quantify the impact of data quality issues on our advertisements system * Analyzing causal connections between users' online behaviors and conversions, identifying causal relationships in data, and developing metrics to measure the effectiveness of advertisements * Designing and prototyping automated solutions to identify data quality issues, develop high-sign education labels and features to improve advertisements ML model performance, and collaborating with engineers to integrate them into our advertisements system * Collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams as a thought partner, providing data-informed guidance that shapes the future roadmap and drives long-term strategy for building a high-quality conversion information foundation **What We're Looking For** We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced data scientist with: * 3+ years of hands-on experience as a data scientist, research scientist, or system learning engineer * Proven ability to apply scientific methods to resolve real-world problems on web-scale data * Proficiency in SQL/Hive and expertise in at least one scripting language (preferably Python/R) * Strong business and product sense, with a passion for shaping ambiguous questions into well-defined analyses and success metrics that drive business decisions * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to management and product teams * Experience in causal inference and measurement, with familiarity of measuring causal impact using both online experimentation and observational studies * Experience in data quality-related work, including quality assessment, anomaly detection, data cleaning, data governance, etc. * Proven ability to design and implement machine learning models, preferably with biased/incomplete/noisy training data * Deep knowledge of feature engineering and model evaluation is strongly preferred **Proven Ability to Lead and Innovate** We're looking for a data scientist who can independently explore an ambiguous area and shape the product roadmap and strategy through analytical efforts.
