About the Role This position is part of the Engineering Team within the Integrated Operations Division at blithequark. As a Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing engineering support for the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. You'll also play a key role in establishing and maintaining aircraft and part standards within your area of responsibility. Key Responsibilities Conduct training for Specialists in areas of expertise Serve as a guide to other Engineers Act as a team leader/facilitator for project management or issue resolution Coordinate with manufacturers and regulatory agencies as required, and ensure that engineering practices are properly validated according to material standards and Company manuals Develop customized procedures and special instructions for repairs, alterations, inspections, and other maintenance activities not adequately addressed in existing manuals Stay informed about daily carrier operations within your area of liability, review daily needs according to aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates Investigate aircraft/part issues that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, significant usage in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance operations, and determine suitable corrective actions Provide engineering support as needed to address discrepant circumstances affecting aircraft or parts to restore workable status Respond to requests from Maintenance and other carrier divisions when technical help is required to support operations or resolve issues Develop activity plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or part engineering tasks and pursue detailed attitudes according to assessed needs Coordinate with other carrier divisions as needed to facilitate effective and efficient execution of engineering practices Prepare engineering documents to implement technical practices by providing customized procedures for repairs, alterations, inspections, or other maintenance activities that furnish benefits according to aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming regulations that influence areas of responsibility and ensure that all engineering activities maintain compliance with material regulatory requirements Utilize available resources to increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously, and strive to improve communication skills, time management, and other personal attributes relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties Effectively engage with frontline colleagues and management alike Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering field or related Engineering permit 1 year of engineering experience in a connected field or 2 years of experience without a degree A&P permit Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Ability to analyze technical data and make informed decisions Demonstrated fitness, capacity, and readiness to take on new roles and responsibilities Ability to prepare and deliver presentations that promote recognition of solutions Ability to interact with internal and external clients effectively Preferred Qualifications Experience in the aviation industry Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and operation Certification in a relevant engineering field What We Offer Compensation and Benefits At blithequark, we're committed to providing our team members with competitive compensation and benefits packages.
