About the Job In this exciting opportunity, you will join blithequark's growing Bookkeeping team as a Financial Data Analyst, where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive key initiatives and improvements. Key Responsibilities Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical Accounting, Functional Accounting, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other stakeholders on policies, processes, and projects, and help drive key framework initiatives and enhancements Design and plan comprehensive accounting data requirements to facilitate the seamless automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial cycles Lead functional improvement initiatives to further streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close schedule Monitor data quality of journal entries prepared via the Revenue Subledger and design Data Quality checks for identified use cases through accounting requirements design, ad-hoc investigations, new product launches, etc. Work with the Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our daily Revenue Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation analysis with the help of the analytics team Review new product designs presented during internal Financial Compliance meetings and evaluate the impact on existing or need for new accounting requirements for the Revenue Subledger Cross-collaborate with collaborating teams on the journal entry streams for new or existing products for automation via the Revenue Subledger Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including but not limited to: GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, accounts receivable reconciliations, review journal entries, and review close package expectations Ad-hoc investigations and projects as assigned Essential Qualifications 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analysis, or business intelligence Solid knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition required; knowledge of IFRS a plus Intermediate/advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data, Python a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing environments Ability to engage with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and externally Preferred Qualifications Experience with data visualization tools and techniques Knowledge of accounting software and systems, such as ERP and accounting platforms Certifications in accounting or related fields, such as CPA or CMA Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to supporting our employees' growth, well-being, and overall success.
