Job Summary Under minimal supervision, the successful candidate will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software applications for enhancements and new products. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coach and mentor less senior team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer technology, engineering, or information systems, and a minimum of three to four years of qualifying work experience in a data generation or engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software applications for enhancements and new products Prepare and conduct systems programming tests requiring interfacing and software assessments Coach and mentor less senior team members Develop and maintain complex software applications, including designing, coding, testing, and debugging Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements Develop and maintain technical documentation, including flowcharts, visualizations, and diagrams Essential Qualifications The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology, Engineering, or Information Systems, or a related field, and a minimum of three to four years of qualifying work experience in a data generation or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may also offset the experience requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, including experience with cloud systems, source control tools, and programming languages such as Java or Springboot. Preferred Qualifications Experience building end-to-end solutions on cloud systems such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Experience with source control tools such as Git and expertise in using ADO Backend engineers: experience with development using Java or Springboot Frontend engineers: experience with development using React JS or Angular JS Experience with writing interfaces, including API JSON or Soap and webservices Comfort with database principles and experience writing SQL in a relational database such as MySQL or PostgreSQL Experience working with goal-oriented teams in an Agile environment and working with user stories and recognition standards Willingness to analyze and learn new technologies, large technology stack, and figure out solutions, using deeper studies and troubleshooting Skills and Competencies The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, including programming languages, software development methodologies, and cloud systems. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to coach and mentor less senior team members.
