As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and testing software applications and tools to support the company's business operations. Job Summary This job performs and executes exercises that influence parts/cycles of the determined utilitarian region of the Walgreens business programming items OR Advanced/Online application in a Coordinated climate. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in designing, developing, and testing software applications and tools. You will work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to identify and resolve issues, and to develop and implement new software applications and tools. Key Responsibilities Composes code that meets specifications and creates software applications and tools Completes software development and performs testing and troubleshooting applications Creates software applications and tools using Integrated development systems Participates actively in the design, architecture, and manufacturing stages to target creating high-quality expectations Evaluates the compatibility of projects with existing communication equipment and software features Develops professional skills and applies organization policies and procedures to determine various issues Figures out issues of moderate degree where analysis of situations or data requires a review of different factors Practices judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action Builds functional internal/external working relationships Collaborates with internal and external peers or potential managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities Acts as an individual contributor as well as a team player Uses insight to identify hazardous connections and expects, prevents, and eliminates issues and makes professional repairs Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study At least 2 years of professional work experience in design, programming, or comparable Experience writing code for applications or automation Experience with programming languages for online applications, microservices, APIs, or mobile applications Experience building, testing applications or automation Knowledge of the Product Development Life Cycle Experience creating coding solutions to fix moderate issues/issues Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state) Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an Agile environment At least 2 years of progressively complex related experience Experience identifying functional issues and recommending and implementing procedures to resolve issues Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a Software Engineer at Walgreens, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and to develop your skills and expertise in software engineering.
