Job Summary As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Blithequark, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You'll work closely with our product management and marketing teams to develop product visions and roadmaps, and collaborate with other engineering leaders to drive efficiencies and best practices. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of products from conception to retirement, ensuring consistency, quality, and reliability Lead and coach a team of lead engineers, senior engineers, and engineers, focusing on product delivery and technical excellence Establish and promote a work environment centered on engineering excellence, attracting, developing, and energizing a culture of technical innovation Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to develop product visions and roadmaps Develop technology roadmaps for products in your area of responsibility, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability Drive the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for building and supporting IT products Establish structures, design and integration patterns, and guide software development performed by team members Develop, maintain, and report on financial and resource plans for your area of responsibility Serve as the escalation point for operational support to assigned portfolio applications with continuous availability Manage production and non-production environments through change control management Ensure work practices are in compliance with all audit, security, and regulatory requirements Partner with other Engineering Managers to ensure alignment and drive efficiencies Play a key role in driving and mentoring direct and indirect crewmembers to support the engagement, growth, and development of the IT department Requirements To be successful in this role, you'll need: A bachelor's degree in a related field; or demonstrated ability to perform work duties with a high school diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of relevant experience Proficiency in Java, AngularJS, and NodeJS Working knowledge of cloud computing: Azure, GCP, or AWS Availability for moderate overnight travel (up to 35%) Valid travel documents with the ability to travel throughout the US Flexibility to work variable hours and be available for emergency response without prior notice Pass a pre-employment drug assessment Authorization to work in the US; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship Preferred Qualifications We'd love to see: Experience managing a budget Experience managing a full project or initiative, including presenting recommendations to senior leadership Comprehensive knowledge of business functionality and detailed knowledge of business operations, objectives, and strategies Familiarity with Blithequark's IT disciplines and interdependencies and how their needs drive IT strategy Crewmember Expectations As a crewmember at Blithequark, you'll be expected to: Maintain regular attendance and reliability Be available to work variable hours and respond without prior notice Maintain a professional appearance Assist with light cleaning of aircraft when working or traveling on Blithequark flights, and if time permits Be a suitable organizational fit for the Blithequark culture, or at least demonstrate the Blithequark values of Safety, Mindful, Integrity, Passion, and Fun Meet safety accountabilities as prescribed by Blithequark's Safety Management System Identify safety or security concerns, issues, incidents, or risks that should be reported and report them promptly and confidentially, including Blithequark's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Action Report (SAR)) Comply with all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.), and Company policies, procedures, and risk controls Maintain Blithequark's safety performance metric objectives and understand how they relate to your duties and responsibilities What We Offer At Blithequark, we're committed to providing our crewmembers with a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters growth and development.
